After The Tears Dry: A Literary Suspense Novel

Heartbreak. Self-Discovery. Maybe a little Revenge.

Marcie is devastated when her husband asks for a divorce at their twenty-fifth-anniversary dinner. She is angry and embarrassed when she discovers the divorce has cut off her social network. Determined to reestablish her once-developing TV news producer career, Marcie gambles and takes an entry-level position at the TV station where she was once employed.

She advances to the morning news producer. Her ambition leads her to answer a whistleblower’s call. Marcie launches an investigation that uncovers a conspiracy in her former husband’s administration. She discovers roadblocks to undermine her efforts, ruin her new career, and put her life at risk.

A wonderful woven story that had me “turning the pages” late into the night.

“Just wanted to let you know I finished the book by Ms. K-Horn! It was great and a very easy read! She should do a series with this character! Lots of possibilities!” Christie Lanning South Carolina

After the Tears Dry by Sandra K-Horn is a compelling story that’s very real for many women who are facing divorce and restarting their lives. Woven within a mystery of corruption and political intrigue, K-horn gives very practical advice as her heroine navigates through the loss of friends, negotiating a divorce settlement, first holidays apart, a stubborn, angry ex, financial challenges, revitalizing a dormant career left behind many years ago, the “other” woman, divisions with adult children, dating, making new friends and so much more. As the main character asks, “Did I put myself last?” and gains confidence, the reader can see hope and possibilities she may not have been able to see before if she’s in a similar situation. A really good read but more importantly, a wonderful support when your world has been turned totally upside-down! Susie Collins
